Stress Vitamins: Vital for the Body and for Natural Anxiety Relief

Written by admin on November 19, 2011 Categories: mental health education

It seems practically impossible to avoid stress these days, it’s become so much part of our lives, so taking stress vitamins seems equally unavoidable, an essential measure to help offset its adverse effects: anxiety, depression and all manner of psycho-somatic ailments.

Such demanding conditions tend to increase the workload of the heart, often increasing our blood pressure, with stress hormones like cortisol also helping to drain the body of its vital resources of nutrients: vitamins and minerals.

Living anxiously ‘in our head’ – out of touch with our body (in extreme cases practically ‘out of our body’!) – strains and unbalances the brain and nervous system, inevitably leading to poor health.

And the problems are compounded if we’re prone to bad habits, eg poor diet, eating too much, drinking too much alcohol, smoking, inadequate sleep.

So, given similar conditions, for optimum stress relief management taking natural, high-quality stress vitamins supplements is not just an ‘interesting idea’ but virtually absolutely necessary.

Personally, to help keep my immune system going well, I take an Inositol product and vitamin C.

And for natural anxiety relief I recommend an easy-to-take, natural, ‘green’, multi-ingredient herbal formula that helps dissolve any depression, anxiety or mental stress, and also boosts sleep ( but without any side-effects or becoming addicted).

It functions in 3 main ways:
1 – To boost the body’s production of Dopamine, a pleasure-inducing chemical that apparently helps to slow the aging process

2 – To optimise the body’s store of Serotonin, a hormone that combats depression

3 – To decrease the body’s supply of cortisol, a hormone that arises with stress, creating fat (among other negative effects).

Other excellent stress vitamins I advocate to help the nervous system are those from the B-Complex and the anti-oxidants (A and E, as well as C).

Also, as well as taking such vitamins, it’s very helpful to learn effective ways of dealing with stressful situations independently, particularly ways of proper breathing and relaxation.
Doing so will help a lot to allow us to respond more evenly to stress.
